My HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) related research started in June of 2004 when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. This page is a collection of links related to the use of HIFU as a treatment method for some forms of cancer. I elected to go for HIFU and was treated by Dr. George Suarez (a Miami, Florida urologist) in Cabo San Lucas. I had the treatment done in October 2004.

Although prostate cancer has not been eradicated from my body, I consider the treatment a success thus far because all three of my "primary" goals were achieved:

The FDA "Food and Drug Administration" (being controlled by the perverbial fox) is continuing to show that it is protecting it's own while crippling the advancement of cancer treatment in the U.S. by refusing to expediently evaluate HIFU as a viable modality. The U.S. is now lagging behind at least 20 other countries in the use of HIFU technology.
